Wang Haichuan is a Chinese contemporary artist was born in 1968 in Jilin Province, China and currently lives and works in Chongqing.
After his graduation from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 1997, with a major in Visual Arts, Wang Haichuan worked in the field of architecture and landscape design for several years and also became widely recognized as a visual artist.
Wang Haichuan boasts an accomplished oeuvre of engrossing and complex works in various media ranging from paintings organized by surrealistic aethetics, furniture-assembled installations, video, photography, and on-site art projects that are unified in their defiance of genre expectations, eclectic imagery, and their examination of societal patterns and individual psyches.
